Los Angeles witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series title. Supporters across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local celebrations featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy high.
