Liverpool's Star Offers Regret to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has revealed that the Egyptian forward apologised to the group of players after the uproar from his public comments.

He was omitted from a European match subsequent to voicing frustrations and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I'm sorry.’”
The manager has previously declined to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the veteran striker.
Looking Ahead
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.
The midfielder also noted that a teammate fighting for a place is less of an issue. “I get that there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
On-Field Response
Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the games following the situation. Jones believes the forward's comments were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“If passion has boiled over, it’s always been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “It's behind us and we’re uniting strongly, playing well and on a positive run.”
