The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was reached following an review of reports of questionable actions directed at female individuals.

The company did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
